The Provision of God

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?

Matthew 6:26 NLT

TODAY’S THOUGHT

Our Heavenly Father wants to bless us with everything we need to accomplish His purpose for our lives.

God loves you and me. His love for us drives Him to want to see all our needs met if we would accept His direction and correction in our lives.

Asking for God’s provision is part of our time of prayer. But we should equally be asking for His direction. I have found that the provision of God comes with the direction of God.

If I am not in the right place doing the right things, I will miss the provision of God.

Imagine it like a game where you will discover the treasure when you get to a specific place. The treasure was placed there long before you got there. You had to follow certain clues and directions to discover what was already there.

God has already provided everything we need. Unfortunately, our selfishness and sins often take us to the wrong place in life to discover the treasures He has prepared.

TODAY’S PRAYER

Holy Spirit, please help me to realize areas in my life that need to change. Help me to be where You want me to be. Help me to discern Your will and ways so that I can discover the provision You have for me.
