Wholeness in the Word
Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins. They couldn’t stand the thought of food, and they were knocking on death’s door. “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death. Let them praise the Lord for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about his glorious acts.
Psalm 107:17-22 NLT
Let’s look closely at verse 20, “He sent out His word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.”
This psalm is the story of people who have rejected the Word of God and rebelled against His will. As a result of their rejection, they suffered sickness and disease.
Then comes the good news, they decided to call out to God. When we decide to pray, amazing things begin to happen. Prayer opens us up to receive the Word of God. As we turn back to God’s Word, we will discover the cleansing and healing we need.
Wholeness in spirit, soul, and body comes from the Word of God. Therefore, the more I am in the Word, the more I will experience wholeness in my spirit, soul, and body.
If I neglect God’s Word, Satan will attack my mind with negative and selfish thoughts that will lead me down a path of destruction.
Stay in the Word. Wholeness is in the Word of God.
Holy Spirit, I believe that You are my Teacher. Please teach me daily the Word of God as I submit to You by reading the Word.
