God of Peace
Now may the God of peace— who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, and ratified an eternal covenant with his blood— may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.
Hebrews 13:20-21 NLT
What a powerful prayer! First, He is the God of peace. Whenever God is allowed into our lives, He brings peace. Peace is part of God’s presence.
Our God of peace loves us so much that He sent Jesus to shed His blood on the cross so that we might be equipped with all we need to do His will. There is nothing that we lack to accomplish the purpose God has for us.
Sometimes we feel like Gideon when God called him in Judges, chapter six, to deliver Israel from the Midianites. Gideon had a list of excuses why he was not the one to be a warrior for God. But God promised Gideon that He would go with him and make him enough.
God’s presence with us is what empowers us to accomplish everything He has for us to do. There is nothing lacking in our lives when we invite God to work in and through us.
Holy Spirit, today, I lean into Your presence in my life. Pour into me Your life. Help me to know and understand Your will for my life. Help me to walk in Your wisdom.
