Forgiven and Healed
Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.
Matthew 8:2-3 NLT
Jesus is willing to bring healing into our lives!
I have prayed with many people who felt they were undeserving of healing. I have struggled at times with that in my own life as well. Satan loves to remind us of our failures, sins, and lack of faith.
But let’s think about that for a moment. Are we ever worthy of being healed?
For that matter, can we ever be worthy of being forgiven?
Yet, God has chosen to forgive all our sins when we confess our sins and turn away from them, declaring Jesus to be our Lord and Savior. God doesn’t forgive only half our sins—He forgives them ALL!
When we come to Jesus as our Healer, He doesn’t reject us because of our imperfections. His grace is released to those who ask in faith. He is always willing to heal. He is always willing to forgive.
Our part is admitting we can’t do life on our own. We can’t live in freedom and wholeness in our ability or gifts. We must have divine forgiveness and divine wholeness.
Lord Jesus, I declare that You are my Healer. Today, I ask You to bring wholeness into my life. I ask that Your grace cleanse and heal my life.
