Job stood up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground to worship.
Job 1:20 NLT
What do you do when life just stinks?
Job might be a good example. He lost his crops, his flocks, his children, and his health. He is broken financially, physically, and relationally. He mourns in grief, and then, he worships God.
It is easy to worship when you got that new job, new home, or new boyfriend/girlfriend. But can you worship when life stinks?
Our faith in God is revealed by our ability to worship in our pain, disappointments, confusion, frustration, and uncertainty. Our true trust in God is revealed during the storms of life, not during the times on the beach in the sunshine.
Today may be a day of storms, why not act in faith and worship God? Declare Who God is and what God has done. Remind yourself of the greatness of our God. Choose to sing in your storm. I believe our faith grows most during the storm if we make a choice to worship.
Heavenly Father, I choose to be a worshipper in the storm. I choose to give You praise in the good times and the bad times. I want my faith to be in You, not in my circumstances.
